1ST EAC INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE FOR THE ACADEMIC AND RESEARCH NETWORK ON REGIONAL INTEGRATION

The Inter-University Council for East Africa (IUCEA) in collaboration with partners is pleased to share important updates regarding the upcoming First East African Community International Conference for the Academic and Research Network on Regional Integration.

This conference will bring together researchers, policy makers, academic leaders, students and other stakeholders from across the region and beyond to explore on the role of academics and researchers in advancing East African Community integration.

 Selected Papers Announced

The call for submission of abstracts closed on 5th June 2025, upon which 85 abstracts were submitted.

Following a rigorous review process, 32 papers have been selected for presentations at the conference. These papers focus on salient issues in the four integration pillars of the EAC and on cross-cutting matters on regional integration.

We congratulate all authors whose papers were accepted and look forward to vibrant academic and policy discussions.
