Dr. Robert Ayine

Senior Qualifications Framework Officer

Dr. Robert Ayine is the Senior Qualifications Framework Officer at the Inter – University Council for East Africa. He has over 19 years’ experience in higher education working as a University Lecturer at Gulu University and until recently with the National Council for Higher Education in Uganda.

While at the NCHE in Uganda, Robert was responsible for development of standards, recognition and equating of academic and professional qualifications and the implementation of the Uganda Higher Education Qualifications Framework. He is passionate about quality issues in education and has participated in several initiatives focusing on quality of teaching and research in higher education.

He holds a PhD from Makerere University, MA in Education and International Development from University College London in the United Kingdom, a Master of Arts degree in Land use and Regional Development and Bachelor of Arts with Education from Makerere University in Uganda.
