Ellie Hakizimana

Accountant

Elie Hakizimana has been working as Accountant at Inter-University Council for East Africa (IUCEA) since January 2022. Before joining IUCEA, he has worked in various institutions and served as Accounting & Financial Management Specialist at Health Builders (NGO), as Executive Secretary/Chief Budget Manager at Bugesera District, as Chief Accountant at the Office of the Auditor General- SAI Rwanda, and Accountant at National University of Rwanda.

Elie is a Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA Member). He holds a Master’s degree in Accounting and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting both from the National University of Rwanda.

Elie is a Finance and Accounting practitioner with extensive working experience in the supervision and coordination of the Finance, Planning, Procurement and HR staff.  He has expertise in the PFM cycle with thorough knowledge in various financial management systems namely Infor Sun Systems, QuickBooks, SAGE, SMART IFMIS, E-procurement, and Internet banking.
