Introduction

The Inter-University Council for East Africa (IUCEA) is an institution of the East African Community (EAC) responsible for coordinating higher education development and research in the EAC region. The mission of IUCEA is to encourage and develop mutually beneficial collaborations between and among member universities, governments, and other organizations, both public and private.

Kyungdong University (KDU) Global is a fully accredited private university in South Korea that partners with IUCEA to offer scholarships to students from EAC member countries: Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and the Federal Republic of Somalia.

During the selection of previous cohorts, other qualifying applicants were left out because of limitations in the number of scholarships offered each year. This call therefore offers a partial undergraduate scholarship to interested applicants to study at Kyungdong University, South Korea, commencing in March 2027.

This opportunity is for the Extra 3rd Cohort for Spring 2027 and is specifically for self-sponsored undergraduate applicants who can meet the personal and performance-based financial obligations.
